This week, I accomplished the following…
- Interview with Juliana Plemitscher
- Interview with David Taft
- Interview with Lauren Basson
- Color code existing research into relevant categories
The sources I consulted this week are…
- Juliana Plemitscher
- David Taft
- Lauren Basson
By next week, I want to have accomplished…
- Finish color coding and organizing research into binder
- Transcribe all interviews and sort into relevant information in binder
What obstacles stand in the way of progress?
- Feeling overwhelmed by the amount of my information
- Organizing the Cornish Community tent at Occupy Seattle
What steps can I take to move forward?
- Take breaks while transcribing the interviews
- Find an organizational system that works well for me
In this week’s seminar, I want to discuss…
- Moving from research into the application of that research
One small point: in your list of sources you consult each week, consider putting in the full bibliographical info so that it's easy to retrieve later. For example,
ReplyDeleteGray, Thomas. Personal Interview. May 4, 2009.
Cheryl West and I interviewed Thomas Gray at length about his experiences as an Amtrak Porter, and the stories of his father and grandfather who were both Pullman Porters. He shared his family photo albums and personal mementoes. (Notes recorded in Moleskine.)
Then, when you go back later, you'll have useful notes about the interview and a record of the date of the interview.
